Three asking-price offers in three weeks (all done remotely)

With properties in her street slow to sell, the owner of this house in Sheffield was unsure where to begin. She found me online and the rest is history.

Calmer, cosier and clutter-free: that’s what the owner of this four-bed semi told me she dreamed of for her home: all music to my ears as that’s the look buyers love.

Most of my clients have one consultation but with the time and budget to invest in a bigger transformation, and me there guiding her online, my client’s confidence grew and she decided to go all-in.

Everything’s done via photos and videos – which I review before consultations, so we’re never wasting time. Then we get on a call and go through kerb appeal, every room, and any outside space and outbuildings.

Positives and red flags are out in the open and from there we build the plan.

With this one there were extra calls to keep things on track. That’s often the real value of working with me – not just knowing what to do, but having someone to check in with along the way and avoid expensive, unnecessary work.

Over several months we updated carpets, paint colours, the living room fireplace and some furniture and soft furnishings (all things my client loved and could take to her new home).

Halfway through the project, my client’s elderly mother sadly passed away. I helped stage that house, also in Sheffield, remotely too, sensitive to the fact this was a very emotional time. That property went on to sell for £65,000 over the asking price.

Unlike her neighbours, she avoided months of disruptive viewings and was rewarded with a swift sale: three asking price offers (one £20,000 over) in just three weeks.
