Two viewings, two asking price offers
The owners of this house near Hailsham, East Sussex, realised family life had left their much-loved property lacking that something special that made them fall for it 17 years earlier.
Like many of my clients, they couldn't decide whether it was worth doing a few updates, or where to concentrate their healthy £5,000+ budget. They were willing to invest it all before going on the market, but where?
During their walk-and-talk pre-sale home staging advice session, I explained why I didn't believe it was worth doing such drastic work and some cost-effective wins that would make all the difference. They were delighted not to have to go through all the upheaval of getting quotes for work that was unnecessary.
Their final spend, after my fee, was nearer £500.
They took on board all my suggestions from their home staging consultation and felt confident enough, with my home staging and styling tips up their sleeve, to tick everything off themselves. Despite the transformation they were "gobsmacked" to go under offer so quickly.
Jane's philosophy is not about spending lots of money, it's more about making the rooms look as spacious as possible. Her suggestions for the en suite saved us thousands

We acted as agents for a five-bedroom family house which was staged by Jane Lee Interiors. The house was extremely well presented which made it stand out from a similar property that was being marketed. The first two people to view both offered the asking price
